because ive been talking to myself for far too long
in a dream scape i lost my narrative
behind these closed eyes i can see without direction
and in the heavy rain i lost my innocence
in the blackened sky there is no romance

i was crying in my sleep to the rhythm of the rain
back home where the sun that lit my childhood seems to have changed
now all those simple shades have run into one mass
but with all that i've learnt i can see you much better than in the past
